Happy and healthy - Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service in Hertfordshire

Laughter and humour have a big impact on positive mental health. And increasingly people who make public health policy decisions are grasping this reality and looking for ways to utilise mental wellbeing and positivity in mental health initiatives.

At Laughology we have been trail blazers in this field, developing and delivering successful projects in the public sector for many years.

In October we delivered a session to the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service in Hertfordshire, which oversees early intervention services for families and in schools. In the session we explored the potential benefits of humour and positivity in mental health.

It is encouraging to see a real mainstream interest and acknowledgement of the benefits of humour and happiness and how it can be used to help people develop robust mental health and overcome difficulties. We hope this trend continues.
