It’s Never Too Late for Change - Growth Mindset with Epoch and Sylvanian Families
So, when they got in touch to explore how Laughology could help the team think differently and help the Sylvanian brand be even more loved for the next 35 years, Stephanie couldn’t hold her excitement back. Yes, Sylvanian Families are now 35 years old! How old does that make you feel?
What was even better was that the session was to be delivered face to face or mask to mask, in a social distanced way with the leaders and managers. The only disappointment was when everyone turned up there wasn’t a rabbit’s ear or windmill in sight...
The half day was a kick off with a session to encourage all teams to think differently about what’s possible over the next 35 years. The biggest challenge many large brands face is staying relevant. Developing growth mindset within teams and growth mindset behaviours is, in part, the answer.
With a growth mindset, teams are more likely to listen to new ideas and think outside of their industry, thus avoiding becoming complacent, just because they’re successful. Although Epoch already had many of these qualities, Laughology was tasked to work with the team on developing a programme with their leaders and managers that enhances this thinking throughout the organisation.
Following the training day, Laughology supported Epoch in creating some special ingredients that would help the Epoch teams think differently every day. These were a set of statements with behaviours and questions that would help everyone to think differently.
Mixed groups have been created across the organisation to encourage collaboration, with each group tasked to bring to life one of the special ingredients in everything they do. They’re encouraged to come together monthly to think about how they are adding their special ingredient to their work and decisions. This encourages thinking and behaviours that support growth as well as collaboration.
Over the next few months, Laughology will have the privilege to work with Epoch as part of their growth journey - and we’re really looking forward to it.
