Tesco Team Day
Some organisations have continued to recruit and grow through the pandemic. Tesco brand team is an example.
But how do you on-board new people, help them feel part of a team and support them during such strange times when many teams are virtual? With a Laughology team building day of course!
We ran a team day for twenty-seven Tesco delegates, who we surveyed before the event to build profiles and insight. The data helped us identify blind spots and understand how individuals could work best together.
Designed and delivered by Stephanie Davies, Laughology’s CEO, the day was a virtual team interactive programme consisting of two parts. Activities included improvisation and topics covered included FLIP-it thinking, communication skills and growth mindset. Groups explored each other’s thinking styles and analysed the most effective ways they could work together.
Delegates were also encouraged to deliver presentations about what they had learnt about each other. In these, they used a Tesco brand launch project to illustrate the strengths other colleagues could add. The session also identified future challenges and found ways colleagues could work together to overcome them.
