Introducing module two FLIP – Language and Imagination

Last week we kicked off our online learning bursts with an introduction to FLIP-it Thinking. We explored focus (the F in FLIP) and how to focus on the positives.  Hopefully you’ve been flippin lovin it!

We’re about to share a lot more, so settle in, grab a cuppa and enjoy.  This week we explore Language and Imagination (the L and I in FLIP - clever innit, it’s the acronym we're most proud of, and we do a lot of acronyms).  We’ll follow the same format with something to watch, something to read and something to do. Enjoy them all at once or in your own time. Revisit ,share and download.

We have something special for parents too. This week’s school home learning includes easy-to-use downloadable resources to help children develop coping skills (you might want to use these yourself too). There are also lesson plans, which are divided into year groups. Children can work through them together and if they are different ages, you could encourage the eldest to help the youngest, as peer-to-peer learning is the best type of learning.

There are six weeks of lesson plans and resources for each age group, but you can mix and match ages and use them however you like, which should keep you and your family busy.

Have fun watching the content and please give us feedback. Tell us what you love, what you would like to see more of and what’s not working. But please be kind, because some us went to drama school and have fragile egos. Have fun, stay safe and #StayAtHome
