Helping O2 leaders lead in difficult times

Over the last two years we’ve been supporting O2’s leadership team to develop skills for having great conversations. Our Big Chats, Little Chats programme is embedded as part of the company’s leadership strategy. The programme has been delivered virtually and face-to-face to over 2,000 people.

It was an essential element of how O2 was able to adapt to working differently during the coronavirus crisis. The skills delivered through Big Chats, little chats became the foundation for a programme devised to help leaders negotiate the current challenges.

Laughology was asked to continue supporting O2 with their 'Leading in Extraordinary Times programme'. We adapted some of the Big Chats, little chats content to make it even more relevant to leading virtually.

We focused on skills such as listening and role modelling, which could be used to help people adapt during the first weeks of lockdown.  We delivered sessions on creating virtual environments and psychological safety. We also adapted video content, activity sheets and cheat sheets. These were developed to be distributed across all platforms and worked well when streamed to the wider group via the Workplace by Facebook platform.

“We are loving the results. It was a really interactive session and it went really well – thanks Laughology”
