Embrace the Bumps

It was great to be invited to be part of CIPD's student conference this year. I hope you enjoyed the the closing keynote: Embrace the Bumps – Growth Mindset for Facing Change.

Part of my contractual obligation is to make you laugh, so let me know if I fulfilled my contract. Even though I only had half an hour with you,

I hope it was a good introduction to some ideas that will help you to embrace the flux of modern life and help you flourish and thrive in the future. With some additional top tips to mentally prepare you for change and to see challenges as opportunities, using a little laughter in the process.

To help expand on the topic, I’ve also provided some additional resources that you can access here. Enjoy the keynote and please get in touch with any questions... and praise.

At Laughology, we’re experts in harnessing the power of positivity to develop and deliver impactful workplace interventions.

We help organisations and people by using science-backed techniques that deploy humour and laughter as catalysts for meaningful change.

We strive to be different and encourage everyone we work with to think differently too. We love working with fresh minds such as students, and run graduate programmes that aim to harness and focus the excitement and energy that you'll recognise as young and new HR practitioners. We hope you carry that energy with you throughout your professional life and never lose sight of one of the fundamental principles of positive HR; that people come first and process comes second.
