Resilience and EQ for Newham headteachers
Teenagers can be a handful, especially when they are not your own, which is why secondary school teachers need a lot of patience, some robust coping skills and plenty of emotional intelligence (EQ).
Earlier this month Stephanie Davies swooped in to help 12 secondary heads from Newham in London develop these specific skill sets to pass on to their teams and also to their pupils. Along the way the session also looked at memory techniques for young people and how to create a happy and well environment for students to learn in.
