Mental health and culture change at GC Engage Europe
Sarah Creegan travelled to Dublin (home of her favourite tipple), to deliver mental health and culture change workshops at the prestigious GC Engage Europe 2019 conference, a pan-European gathering of leading general counsel.
Delegates were all managers within the legal profession. Other sessions delivered during the two-day conference included managing cyber risk, dispute resolution, anti-bribery and corruption. With such weighty topics, the conference organisers recognised the importance of including a session on personal and team wellbeing, which we delivered in our inimitable, fun style.
Our workshop focused on the science of happiness and the use of humour in the workplace. It also looked at how to use Laughology’s FLIP It thinking tool to become more solution-focused, resilient and creative. Delegates said that the sessions were ‘excellent, relevant, beneficial and thought-provoking’ and that they gave a ‘new perspective on some boring, stressful stuff’.
Cheers to that!
