Laughter at Lunch for RSM World Day
Laughologist Dave Keeling likes lots of things. But two things he really likes are laughter and lunch.
So lucky for him that he was deployed to RSM International, London (a leading audit, tax and consulting service provider /), to deliver a one-hour Laughter at Lunchtime special for a group of 25 employees.
The session was part of the company’s World Day celebration and was designed to enhance team-building and positive relationships in the workplace.
Dave Keeling's three-point plan of attack consisted of:
- The art of collaboration and engagement. This included advice on effectively understanding colleagues and their stories, which helps to forge better relationships and connections for a happier workplace.
- An introduction to growth mindset and how positive neurology enables us to make better choices.
- Keeping them awake after what can only be described as a buffet of dreams.
Dave did this all by blending activities, audience participation, up-to-date neuroscience, questions, facts and lots of laughs.
The audience was challenged to look at how they processed thoughts, how their decisions were governed by emotions and how to recognise fixed mindset responses to thoughts, ideas, people and challenges.
Everyone left with achy brains, a spring in their step and a belly full of vol- au- vents.
