Introducing our new Head of People, Programmes and Playfulness - Sarah Brown

Sarah Brown is our new Head of People, Programmes and Playfulness. A title that sums up her passions beautifully - and also speaks to our love of alliteration.

Sarah’s passionate about learning, and has several years of experience working with diverse groups of people and organisations including, retail, financial services, public sector and charities.

Her role at Laughology is varied and involves supporting our people internally to be the best they can be, to maintain our values and to grow our team of experts.

Sarah has proven experience supporting organisations in achieving both tactical and strategic goals. She has a genuine interest, passion and experience in delivering and designing numerous learning initiatives, including leadership, management and talent programmes that have helped support both financial and cultural successes.

Her role is to work with our customers to support them in their learning journeys, ensuring the learning is relevant to their organisations.

Sarah is also an NLP practitioner and coach, and an advocate of positive psychology. She has extensive experience of using this mix to adapt to everyone’s needs either on an individual or group basis.

This girl loves a challenge

She believes in challenging people to think differently using the right questions and actively listening. Sarah’s happy to share stories of her own experiences, as well as how coaching and other resources helped her to challenge her own thinking and actions. Authenticity and walking the talk is crucial to building relationships. Not bad for someone who hated school.

She believes that all learning should be fun, interactive and engaging, which is something that Laughology pride themselves on. Fun has a positive effect on motivation levels, determining what we learn and how much we retain. If the experience is fun, we will stay curious and want more.

Learning should be a continuous journey and is something that Sarah herself enjoys. She’s a fan of the Headway app, loves a good book and is forever researching on Google. She’ll even find some learning out of films.

When she’s not working or learning, she enjoys Bootcamp, country walks, live music, theatre and eating good food, washed down with a cheeky rioja.
