Growth mindset and happy teams with Scottish Water

On previous visits to Edinburgh’s Royal Mile, Stephanie Davies had to contend with hecklers and drunken stag parties.

But that was the Fringe Festival many years ago during her other life as a stand-up comedian. On her most recent visit the audience was the impeccably behaved leadership team from Scottish Water, and Stephanie talked about growth mindset and happiness in teams. She delivered a full-day session which also allowed time for reflection, planning and networking.

Delegates joined in to make the day fun and engaging. Simon Parsons, Director of Strategic Customer Service Planning said: “Stephanie was the star of our leadership event. Her ‘growth mindset’ and ‘science of happiness’ presentations were a perfect fit. She made us laugh and connect with each other through humour.

The feedback has been outstanding. Our leaders have brought that energy back into the business and are already putting what they heard into practice. One attendee said they ‘would have paid to be entertained like that’. Now that’s a compliment!” It certainly is, as when she appeared at the Festival all those years ago, she couldn’t give tickets away.
