FLIP-it webinar for Achieving for Children
Victoria Maitland led a FLIP-it webinar for Achieving for Children last month. The programme centred on how to use Laughology’s FLIP-it model to think positively and develop resilience in challenging times.
This is particularly important for those working with children, as working patterns and procedures are being negotiated weekly with government changes.
With lots of lively discussion and some Zoom-shared artwork, Victoria looked at how the brain’s initial reactions when under pressure can hinder productive thinking. FLIP is easy to follow and offers a step-by-step method for changing mindset in the moment.
The first step is to recognise automatic thinking and slow down the brain. So, if you are navigating the corona coaster right now, take a deep breath and allow yourself a moment - you could even use our free FLIP-it thinking resources to help you!
