Creative and innovative thinking at RBS Festival of Learning

Following on from his successful half-day FLIP workshops with RBS graduates, Laughologist Dave Keeling was invited to contribute to RBS’s Festival of Learning, a vast programme of challenging and informative sessions, open to all levels within the business.

Dave’s sessions were delivered in Edinburgh and London and focussed on creative and innovative thinking.

In the sessions, delegates were encouraged to explore thought processes and challenge thinking style. They discovered how to identify blocks to creative thinking and learned the power that curiosity and conversation can play in creating new thoughts and ideas. The sessions used a variety of interactive, fun and stimulating techniques that allowed the delegates to question their own thinking and develop strategies to enable them to think more positively and freely.

Dave’s top 5 Thought Grenades to mull over with friends, family and work colleagues

  1. Which finger is best?
  2. If every experience you’ve had was from a catalogue, which would you keep, which would you return and which ones are you still paying for now?
  3. What is your Kryptonite?
  4. If you stick a bunch of flowers in the back of a computer does the computer become a vase?
  5. Is something boring because of it or because of you?
