Claire House Comedy training and fundraiser
Every year Laughology has the privilege of working with Claire House Children’s Hospice, raising funds for this crucial organisation that provides specialist nursing care and emotional support for families affected by life limiting illness.
We do this by having fun and training volunteers from the North West to become stand-up comedians. Each year a gang of brave individuals receive free training from Laughologist and comedian Kerry Leigh on how to write and perform stand-up comedy. The programme culminates in a performance night where these budding comedians compete to win best performance of the night with all ticket sales going to Claire House.
This year we are looking for volunteers once more. And it’s fair to say that the process can be life changing as people develop untapped skills. Training evenings or on 13th, 20th, 27th of November and the performance night is on November 29th. So if you’ve always secretly fancied giving stand up a go, or you have a funny friend who needs outing, please email: beth.pochin@clairehouse.org.uk for more details.
