“The work Laughology is doing is great, its really is important to laugh and keep you sense of humour through life’s ups and downs. It was something that kept me going after my surgery recently and why I am using humour and laughter to help raise money for the wonderful team of people that helped look after me.”

Laughing Matters in Education - Whole-school approaches to improved emotional health & well being
January 2010
Laughology is at the forefront of creating environments with educators that are more conducive to learning. Ever since Laughology was launched in 2006 our techniques were recognised by education specialists as an innovative addition to the education system. The Times Educational Supplement for example, made a feature of our work in schools holding it up as good practice. Of the work carried out by Laughology with teaching staff at Alsop High School, Dr Denise Peerbhoy, Research fellow at Liverpool John Moores university said, ‘It’s given teachers a better understanding of how to use different strategies in the classroom’. She believes that, ‘for pupils, it’s been a rich and intensive experience’.
With more focus on the benefits of increasing well being in schools and the communities that they serve we have found our work in the education sector increasing. Schools, colleges, behavioural support teams and universities are looking to Laughology to help them to enhance communication, employability and learning in its wider sense.
Skills that make young people more resilient, emotionally intelligent and encourage more creative thinking styles are increasingly important. We can work with you to ensure staff are provided with the confidence and practical skills to encourage pupils to fully flourish.
Laughology can work with you to enhance:
- learning and retention,
- emotional intelligence and resilience,
- creativity and imagination for learning,
- positive interaction,
- self-esteem and confidence.
