Claire House Comedy Awards - They Stood & Delivered
Bankers, cabbies, public health specialists, personal development coaches, retail managers, and local community wardens gave outstanding performances at this year’s Claire House Comedy awards. And Paul Haliwell was named ‘Claire House Comedian of the Year, 2009’. Winning himself the opportunity to perform at Liverpool’s fabulous, Capital of Comedy –stand-up comedy night at the Slaughterhouse, Liverpool. The budding comedians were supported on the night by their excellent compere, Director of Laughology, Stephanie Davies and judges included Liverpool’s own, Stan Boardman.
Over £3,000 was raised on the night for Claire House. Claire House is a centre of excellence providing 24 hour respite, palliative, and terminal care for children and young people from 0 - 23 years of age with a life threatening or life limiting illness, and their families.
