Bankers, cabbies, public health specialists, retail managers, and local community wardens are leaving the comfort of their workplaces to compete for the title of
‘Claire House Comedian of the Year, 2009’.
Eleven local people have been trained in the art of stand-up comedy by Director of Laughology, Stephanie Davies. Stephanie is no stranger to stand-up having performed throughout the UK for over 7 years. Laughology specialises in teaching people how to use laughter and humour to improve outlook and behaviour.
The budding comedians will battle it out in front of a packed house as only one can win the title. Judges on the night include Stan Boardman and Stephanie Davies will act as compere.
Join us for what will certainly be a hilarious night out and to see who takes home the crown and becomes the Claire House Comedian of the year 2009. The winner will be invited to perform at, The Capital of Comedy –stand-up comedy night at the Slaughterhouse, Liverpool.
All proceeds for the event will go to Claire House. Claire House is a centre of excellence providing 24 hour respite, palliative, and terminal care for children and young people from 0 - 23 years of age with a life threatening or life limiting illness, and their families.
