Joseph Edwards nominated for a National Happiest Pupil Award 2017.

Joseph Edwards, from Pelham Primary School, has been nominated by Sarah Lyne, Deputy Head Teacher, for a National Happiness Awards 2017. Sarah said about Joseph in her nomination:

'Joseph is currently in Year 6 at our school, and throughout his time at Pelham, he has shown resilience, enthusiasm and an admirable positive attitude.

'Despite being wheel-chair bound, Joseph enters into everything he possibly can and lets nothing deter him. Not only does he endeavour to do his very best in all his lessons, he participates in a number of extracurricular activities.

'He was able to attend a residential trip, once risks were assessed and plans put in place and said it was the best time he had ever had at school.

'Joseph is a real team player with a strong sense of community. He has been a wonderful School Councillor, imparting ideas and respecting others' opinions and he has recently been elected as a House Captain.

'Above all, Joseph has a great sense of humour and his enjoyment of life is very evident.'
