Morehall Primary School nominate Margaret Paterson for the Happiest School Employee award

Morehall Primary School in Folkstone is an ambitious and inclusive school, which is at the heart of their community. They have nominated Margaret Paterson for this year's Happiest School Employee award.

Michele Sowden-Mehta, Head of School at Morehall Primary, who nominated Margaret, said in her nomination:

'Margaret is always positive! She doesn't stop smiling and always looks for the positive in every situation. She is kind and friendly to all. And for this reason, she is our wellbeing leader.

She has created welcome backpacks for all staff to welcome them to the new school year, created toiletry baskets of essentials for the staff toilets, positive quotes for staff and IOU tokens where staff can request to leave school early or have drinks brought to them during the day.

Even when support is offered, she is the first to grab it with both hands even when that means having extra observations.

She also goes above and beyond for the children. On her day off she collected free wood for us to create a more engaging environment for the EYFS children. She runs after-school clubs for the children which are always well received.

Her happiness spreads throughout the school to both the staff and children.'

Don't forget to nominate your school, teacher or pupil for a National Happiness Award 2017.
There is over £5000 worth of prizes to be won for the winners and runners-up. The awards also receive national coverage which helps to raise the profile of your school and puts wellbeing and happiness at the heart of your curriculum.
Nominations close at midnight on Friday, 20th October. Winners and runners-up will receive their prizes at a happiness-studded ceremony in London on Friday, 17th November.

Don't delay - nominate today!
