How do you reward the graduates and apprentices in your organisation?

New talent is the lifeblood of any organisation. Apprentices and graduates with the right skill-set are an essential factor in business expansion and growth.

Two thirds (61%) of managers in growing firms felt that hiring the right staff or having employees with the right skills was the most important factor in realising the company’s ambitions.

David Sproul, chief executive of Deloitte UK, said:

'Improving social mobility is one of the UK’s biggest challenges. One of the ways in which we are seeking to address this is by doubling the number of positions available through our BrightStart Business Apprenticeship Scheme.'

Graduates and apprentices can have a strong connection and loyalty, which can sometimes be underestimated by their employer. That is why Laughology launched the national Happiness Awards in 2016.

The award, now in their second year, recognise organisations and individuals who value the importance of happiness and making it count in the workplace.

We have a new category in this year's awards called Happiest Future Leader. It is open to graduates and apprentices who embrace learning and on-the-job development and understands that having fun complements learning and development.

This person should have already made a positive impact on happiness levels within their business and be a graduate or apprentice who displays exceptional positive leadership potential: an ambitious person who goes above and beyond to support their colleagues and is enthusiastic, positive and brings real benefits to their team and the business.

Recognise the contribution made by graduates and apprentices to the growth of your organisation by nominating them for a National Happiness Award 2017.

It's free to enter, and there are over £5000 of prizes to be won for the winners and runners-up.

The awards receive national coverage which helps to raise the profile of your organisation put staff wellbeing and happiness at the heart of your organisational culture.

Nominations close at midnight on Friday, 20th October. Winners and runners-up will receive their prizes at a happiness-studded ceremony in London on Friday, 17th November.

Nominations close soon. Don't delay - nominate today!
