Hannah Inwood from Federations of Greenways nominates her school for the happiest school award
The National Happiness Awards 2017 nominations are coming in thick and fast, and we would like to share some of the nominations with you, so you know what you are up against if you decide to nominate your school.
This nomination comes from Hannah Inwood, a senior teacher at Federations of Greenways in Southend-on-Sea, who thinks her school should win this year's happiest school award.
These are some of the reasons Hannah thinks her school is the happiest school in the UK.
'We are a large primary school (5 classes in each year group from reception to year 6) which is why it is so much more important to come together as a team and work towards common goals.
'Even though we are all from different backgrounds, we are all so happy knowing we have the same values for our children. We should win the happiest school award because not only do teachers love working here, but parents and children love the school too.
'Two years ago we changed our school values to "respect, nurture, aspire and inspire" and now everyone lives and breathes the same values. Children have a huge range of extra curricular activities on offer, most run by teachers and other members of staff. This proves that not only do teachers happily give up their time to give something back to the school, but also that children grasp every opportunity to succeed, both in and out of school. The blogs that each class teachers have created this year also show this.
