Alan is our specialist consultant in the arenas of rehabilitation, health and public health. He has worked in the drugs and HIV prevention field for 25 years as a well-respected researcher and trainer.
His vast experience and knowledge in these fields, combined with the Laughology ethos, has helped us deliver ground-breaking programmes in sensitive environments.
Alan's delivery is relaxed, warm, self-effacing and very funny, despite being grounded in facts and rigorous adherence to the latest research. Balancing science and sociology with hilarious anecdotes, Alan is in constant demand on the conference and training circuit and delivers for Laughology on our public health and service users and providers programmes.
Since 1990 he has worked as an independent researcher, policy consultant and trainer for a wide range of institutions and organisations dealing with issues such as young people and drug use.
At the weekends Alan likes to climb a mountain or two and sing like Julie Andrews.
