We lost that loving feline

Laughology mascot and guardian of the Laughology yellow foam stress men, Barry the Cat, represented the company in January when he appeared in his first cat show, LondonCats, the biggest cat fancying show in the UK and the feline equivalent of Crufts. Sadly, Barry’s behaviour fell short of that which we’d expect from a member of the team.

He showed little interest in his carefully planned pre-show training routine, and the day of high drama started badly when he raked his claws in the first of eight judges who scrutinised him during the show.

He spent most of his time hissing at the other competitors and was only saved from utter embarrassment when his handler sedated him with a valerian-infused cushion. He came seventh in his category – out of seven. In order to distance ourselves from his behaviour, and from the doping scandal, we have terminated our sponsorship deal with him. Until he learns to play nicely he gets no more treats and can’t sleep on the bed.
