The psychology of humour and laughter at Autotrader
Lead happiness consultant Dave Keeling likes to think he’s a bit rock’ n ’roll, so he was thrilled to be stepping on stage at O2 Academy Victoria Warehouse, Manchester. Thankfully he chose not to perform his one-man Queen tribute and delivered a one-hour keynote for Autotrader on the psychology of humour and laughter laughter-as-a-personal-development-to) instead.
The event was attended by over 200 Autotradians from across the business.
The keynote was designed to enable delegates to learn more about the positive effects of laughter on good mental health and wellbeing and to gain an understanding of the science of laughter and how it can help individuals. Dave equipped the gathered throng with some hints and tips to take away and apply whilst at work or at home.
Despite the fact this old industrial venue contained about 47 pillars which Dave managed to shimmy his way around, his quick-fire delivery, humour and audience interaction ensured that everyone left full of love, laughter and learning.
