Free online learning bursts
We’re all in this together, and we’re all feeling our way through new ways of working. We’re not judging. Honestly. But, let’s face it.
There are only so many Joe Wicks online sessions and retro John Cleese training videos you can share before your team realises the Head of Virtual L&D title you gave yourself was a bit premature.
Okay, maybe there is a morale-raising argument for seeing Val from accounts doing burpees in a dressing gown in her garden. However, content you access and then share should also have value, consistency and relevance. It also helps when it’s fun. Because when you’re operating in the new WFH frontier, you are competing with Netflix, Youtube, Jeremy Vine on BBC Radio 2 and the biscuit tin (which wins every time at Laughology).
With these challenges in mind, we are giving away an ongoing programme of free online content over the coming months to help you and your people continue your learning journeys. All from the comfort of your own homes, in your pyjamas.
We call them our weekly learning bursts. They’re for everyone; schools, businesses, organisations and individuals.
The emphasis will be on measures we can all take to help us adapt to changing times while remaining positive.
The bursts will focus on different themes and will go live each Friday. Each theme will be broken down into weekly modules and each module will have something to watch, something to read and something to do.
How it works
It’s really simple. You will be able to access the content in your own time and even on your phones. You will be able to download cheat sheets and content wherever you are and share it with others. If you are on our mailing list, you will receive free notifications and updates for what’s coming next. You will also be able to sign up to our free online classrooms at the end of each module. We have limited spaces, so it will be first come, first served. Sessions will be recorded and posted online.
The first theme will be resilience and FLIP-it Thinking
The first module, available from March 27, will be an introduction to the FLIP-it Thinking model and a look at how to focus on the positives.
- Then, on April 3, we will cover how to use language and imagination to help build resilience.
- Finally, on April 10, we will look at how to break negative patterns. The final burst in this theme will also pull all the info together to look at how you can put our methods into practice. This will be done through a learning platform you can join.
And because we’re Laughology, the content will be engaging, dynamic and useful.
We know we all face some tough days ahead, but hopefully, we can help and brighten your Fridays up with a burst of learning and laughter.
