The children enjoyed lots of visitors from various professions who were hot-seated and quizzed on their careers. Vicky’s job as 'laughologist’ invited intrigue but her main role was to spend an hour each with four classes introducing the topic of growth mindset.
Through games and discussion, the children began to explore how our brains learn new skills and how to put a plan into action to reach our goals and achieve our ambitions. Vicky met future bosses, beauticians, palaeontologists, singers and of course Mohammed, who is very determined to be a pilot when he grows up.
The sessions highlighted that self-belief, positive thinking and practising to improve skills are the keys to success. After all, if you think you can, you will!
