Big Chats, Little Chats at M&S bank
Laughology isn’t just any learning and development organisation, which is why M&S bank invited us to deliver sessions on FLIP it thinking as part of an initiative for staff for National Learning Week.
Stephanie Davies delivered three sessions throughout the day to over 150 people in which she investigated using FLIP as a solution-focused coaching tool for getting through challenges and future-focused learning. The sessions were well-received and feedback forms also noted Stephanie’s sparkly trainers, which looked like something a teenager would flipping wear. In addition to the sessions we also continued our ongoing programme with the bank working with leaders to embed solution-focused coaching.
With the right expert training, we believe that anyone has the potential to be an effective coach and that great coaching can be done by anyone at any time. It is about being a good listener and asking the right questions at the right time. This is our Big Chats, Little Chats model that encourages leaders to have on-demand conversations that help people look forward and avoid backward looking ineffective appraisals.
