Amazing Brains at Happy-Centred Schools
Few of us like making mistakes. In fact, most would rather not do something in the first place, than take the risk of failing.
This was the main thrust of Lead Happiness consultant, Dave Keeling’s sessions with year 6 students at Tolworth Primary School, Surbiton and St Matthews Primary School, Luton.
St Matthew’s was the first school in the country to become a Happy-Centred School.
Dave’s job was to inform and empower the pupils to love their learning journey, enjoy the process of cocking things up, embrace the concept of being extraordinary, and think new thoughts about themselves and the world around them.
The one-hour, Amazing Brain sessions, had the children becoming Sabre-toothed tigers, holding a brain, witnessing magic not to mention improving their memories by 400%.
This was all in a bid to create a little bit of Laughology awe and wonder and a lesson the students won’t forget.
